Subject: Re: MSGD004 Atmel AVRISP AVR ISP mkII doesn't work From: "1Panda Tech" <781516011@qq.com> Date: 11/29/2016 10:29 AM To: "Rolly Noel" Hello dear Rolly, Thanks for buying this programmer. Sorry we haven't update our images. We will revise them asap. The wire you received is new design, it's for 6pin and 10pin 2 in 1, you don't need 2 wires anymore. Here is the diagram: 1) For target board with ISP_6PIN standard interface: use this connection cable to target board directly. 2) For target board with ISP_10PIN standard interface: use ISP_6PIN to ISP_10PIN adapter cable to target board. Note: ISP interface is compatible with ISP_10PIN of ATMEL standard interface, but does not output the PIN4(GND) of ISP. It corresponds to the PIN4(VCC) of JTAG. In this way, if your target board is using the standard interfaces that ATMEL specified, it will be connected normally, but after our updated, it will bring this advantage: if the interfaces of ISP insert into the to the JTAG of MCU by wrong, it will not damage the device(needs JTAG & ISP of target board to do some related processing). Supports users themselves to define the interfaces of ISP and PDI. You can use the colorful wires to connect the target board. If you can tell me how to use the supplied patch cable to uncross things, I'll be a happy camper.
