Is it possible to connect the PiMote to the Raspberry Pi via the pins on the GrovePi? I tried once and it made the Raspberry Pi crash. Probably the pins are interfering with the GrovePi?

Looking on the schematics of both devices (the PiMote and the GrovePi), I don’t see them interfering - they appear to be using different pins.
Can you describe that crash you had again? Maybe it was just the OS or a corrupted SD card. Can you retest the device on your Pi and see if it crashes again? (the crash term is not technically a proper term as that implies something bad has happened on the OS as a consequence of inadequate programming).
