Can we power pi with wall adapter when batteries are connected to GoPiGo3?

Hello,

I would like to use wall adapter to power Pi while programming. Can we power up Pi using a wall adapter while the batteries are connected to GoPiGo3?

Thanks,
Pompa

Yes you can, indeed.

Thanks for the answer. One more scenario.
Can we power Pi using wall adapter (5V, 2A) and keep the GoPiGo3 disconnected from batteries?
Thanks,
Pompa

Yes, but wheel movement will be disabled. (Not a problem during program development usually)

True.

If you are using DexterOS, you will probably be pestered by incessant “Power is too low to continue, please save. . .” messages since it doesn’t detect the battery.

p.s. At least that’s what happens to me. I gave up and just keep the batteries plugged in.

Thanks a lot for the information

Pompa

Yes. I think I will keep the batteries connected.
Thanks,
Pompa
