Capacitive moisture sensor is not running

Hello guys,

as described in the topic, I can’t get the capacitive moisture sensor to work. I have connected it to port a0 and only get values above 700. When I connect the normal moisture sensor, the example script runs as it should. Does anyone have an idea how I can fix the problem?

Do the values change at all dry soil to wet soil?
