DC motor parameters

Hello,

Do you guys know the parameters for the DC motors used in GoPiGo? or where can I find the datasheet?

Hey Jesus, we don’t have a datasheet for the motors; we will ask the manufacturer. Maybe you can tell us what you’re looking for?

I’m looking for the armature resistance, armature inductance, torque constant, friction constant, back EMF constant, moment of inertia

We’ll ask. However, these are usually hard numbers to get out of a manufacturer, and they may even vary from batch to batch of motors.

Friction constant should be a function of the wheel material though, right? Not necessarily the motor?

Nominal values should be ok.

About the friction constant, there is one for a motor too, e.g see

and they talk about the viscous friction coefficient
