Gopigo.py - why are the non-PID versions of fwd and bwd being used?

Is here a story for not using PID?
line 139,140: the fwd definition is using motor_fwd_cmd instead of fwd_cmd
line 147,148: ditto for bwd

also noted line 60: should this have a different code than [53]?
