GoPiGo3 and ASL (American Sign Language)

A little over a year ago, I admitted defeat with getting my GoPiGo3 to recognize American Sign Language:

Scanning Mastodon today, I spotted a new Raspberry Pi does ASL that looks quite promising given that it running on a Pi Zero 2W with a PiCam. It is using YOLOv8 which I have yet to try out.

(I’ve been using YOLOv4 MobileNet Object Recognition on the Oak-D-Lite / Oak-D-Wide-97 device getting 30 FPS object recognition, but have not tried an ASL blob nor YOLOv8 yet.)
