Is there a way to do this without the need to completely flash the SD card with the new OS? I can’t find any way to do this.
Is there like a sudo apt-get install command or something?

You can upgrade your Raspbian Jessie to Raspbian for Robots following the instructions given here. However, I would like to, let you know that this process is time consuming and it might take an hour or more to complete. Also we might not be able to support a lot with this process because we have customized this process to work with our images.
