I2cdetect -y 1 cannot detect any port

Hi
Im new for raspberry pi and grobepi.

Raspbian For Robots was installed to my raspberry pi 3B by http://www.dexterindustries.com/GrovePi/get-started-with-the-grovepi/.
Until I started to test the grovepi.
When I tried “cd Desktop/GrovePi/Software/Python/” and “sudo python grove_firmware_version_check.py”, the system report me
\Traceback (most recent call last):
File “grove_firmware_version_check.py”, line 40, in <module>
print(“grovepi has firmware wersion: %s” %grovepi.version())
File “/home/pi/Desktop/Grovepi/Software/python/grovepi.py”, line 258, in version
return “%s.%s.%s” % (number[1],number[2],number[3])
TypeError: ‘int’ object has no attribute ‘getitem

Then I update the firmware by following https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUVvU4YcTvo

And i also checked sudo i2cdetect -y 1 but there was no i2c found

by the problem still be occurred.

please help
Thank

Hey Tinna,
Can you follow the instructions here and run the troubleshooting script for the GrovePi and upload log here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMadpIEYq5o. That would really help us to solve the problem.

-Karan

Hi Karan

I followed your instruction.
And this is the detail in a log file

Looks like the firmware is not responding on the GrovePi. Can you follow the instructions here to update the firmware: http://www.dexterindustries.com/GrovePi/get-started-with-the-grovepi/updating-firmware/ and see if it works.

-Karan

I updated firmware already but there was no change.
the troubleshooting still showed the same result.

However, the rst light and pwd light always light up. I think there is something wrong with my GrovePi board.

Hi Tinna, since you’re running Raspbian for Robots, is it possible to try this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUVvU4YcTvo&feature=youtu.be

This is a more visual guide to updating the firmware.

I did everything with your instruction but the grovePi still be detected by raspberry Pi.

This is the result.

Please help me

Hey,
Can you upload a picture of your GrovePi and how it is connected to the Raspberry Pi. Also, can you upload what you get on the terminal when you do the firmware update with the instructions here: http://www.dexterindustries.com/GrovePi/get-started-with-the-grovepi/updating-firmware/.
