IOError when running the Sample Scripts

Hi Guys,

Feeling a bit stressed to get my GrovePi to work, after installing the GrovePi using the tutorial located here (i used the quick start approach) https://www.dexterindustries.com/GrovePi/get-started-with-the-grovepi/setting-software/

I cannot seem to get the temperature and humidity script to work, it consistently outputs “IOError”. Oddly, the buzzer and button works as expected. I have troubleshooted the GrovePi and I am getting this output :

Checking for firmware version
=============================
GrovePi has firmware version: 1.2.7

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @jordanmay10,

Hmm, this is starting to get weird - it’s not the first report. Since I haven’t got any answers back from those that reported this yet, do you think you can try it out with the beta version of v1.3.0 for the GrovePi?

Your logs look fine to me, so this might imply there’s something wrong with the current version, the v1.2.7.

Here’s on how you can test out the new beta version:

By giving you this version, I want to exclude the possibility of running a buggy firmware and then move on to other stuff.

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you!
