Kids

I just received your kit, and I am excited to start working on it. My main reason why I purchased the kit, is to get my kids (10,7) excited about building robots with legos. What do you guys think is the best way to get them excited about it as well? I thought of a few strategies:

  1. Build something cool myself, and then show it to them all complete, and then letting them play with it, then get them excited about another project, then build it from scratch with them.

  2. Show them a video of a completed project, then building it from scratch with them.

Let me know if you have guys have any other suggestions.

Thanks

Hey cfpro,
Great question! I’m not sure which one works, I’d defer to the teachers out there.

One other way might be to show them some videos, walk them through getting a motor working, and getting a touch sensor working, and then seeing what they do with it. I’ll bet after they figure out how to get some things to move, they’ll have some interesting ideas on what they want to build!
