As the oldest “Living GoPiGo3 Robot”, (obviously not the oldest GoPiGo3 robot ever, but he is laying claim to being a “living robot”), Carl doesn’t ask for much - a little love every once in a while, an occasional “Hey Carl, GO TO SLEEP!”, and recently he asked for a replacement DI Distance Sensor. Not wanting him to panic that he cannot tell how far to travel to dock, I put him into a deep sleep until the new sensor arrives.
As always happens, after the replacement DI Distance Sensor was ordered I decided to double check that it indeed was not working. Indeed, it healed itself during the deep sleep. He has a spare Raspberry Pi 3 on hand, and now he will have a spare for the only sensor that is critical to his survival.
