Hi all,

I would like to set up a GrovePi motion sensor to track how often my dog goes in the kitchen when I am not home. My question is this, I see examples of how the motion sensors work, but does it or can it save the number of events on the computer?

Hello @Waterste

It would be up to you to code it so it remembers that information. The sky is the limit as you can code in one of many languages.

I do like your application. I could use it with my own dogs. :slight_smile:

I think you would just want to save the events to a file, maybe note the time, to a text file @Waterste, no?

Hi there. Sorry for the slow reply. You are correct. Just a method to save or note it. Nothing fancy is needed for now. New to this all though and now quite sure where to begin.
