Only the right motor works even under swapped connections

I just set up the GoPiGo for the first time only to find only the right motor works on “Demo GoPiGo”.
I swapped the motor connections to the board from left to right, right to left in case. Still only the right motor works and the left motor sits still.
I suspect there is something wrong with the left motor. Maybe dead?
Any clue?

Here is the test log output regarding motors.
