I recently purchased a PIR sensor. I downloaded the sample python program from the seed studio wiki page. When I run the program, the sensor always returns 1. Any idea how I can determine if the sensor is defective? Also, how long after sensing motion will in continue to return 1? Is there a way in code to reset the value or adjust the time out?

The way to test the motion sensor is to point it towards a wall where nothing is moving and move your hand in front of it to see if the values change. Also the wiki and datasheet here: http://www.seeedstudio.com/wiki/Grove_-_PIR_Motion_Sensor seem to suggest that it would stay high as long as something is moving in its field of view.
