Problems With SD Card

When I tried to write the OS to the SD card, I got this error saying there was an I/O device error (error 1117). The software I used was Win32DiskImager-0.9.5. Is the problem with the software, or do I need a new SD card?

I just answered your other post before seeing this one.
Is your SD card write protected by any chance ?

I don’t know if it’s write protected, but it came with the whole raspberry
pi kit, are the ones that come with the kit normally write protected?

Format the SD card to FAT 32 and re-burn the image.

I think this is what we’re referring to when we say it’s not write protected.
