I do not like getting pre-build installations. Much preferring to either apt-get install or down load the source and the makefiles. In fact this a KO factor as far as I am concerned.
I would like to see more advance robots for autonomous projects.
( I am assuming you use the word “students” mean people that go to school rather than to a higher education establishments)
We totally support installing the libraries onto your own SD card with Raspbian. The how-to will depend on which robot you use.
As for the word ‘students’ it encompasses every learner. We have people using our robots in colleges and universities and research departments. Needs vary and we try to support them all. Our ready-made OS is meant for the less technically knowledgeable students so they can get started and learn.
