Thermal sensor for detecting animals

I need a thermal sensor to detect a animal while driving. No need to visualize a shape of the animal.
I only need a sensor that alarms me while driving to slow down and to expect a animal.

  1. animal with a body mass of 10 to 70Kg
  2. a distance range of up to 100 meters
  3. traveling at max 110Km/h

Please help

Hello qpienaar, that looks like a really tough problem. We probably don’t have any sensors that can help you with that.

HOw are you getting your LEGO Mindstorms robot to move at 110km/h? That would be a really amazing feat?
