hi,
about the BrickPi3 H-Bridge ICs:
are there 4 single or 2 double H Bridge chips used for the 4 motors?
(because of achieving the utilization and load as evenly as possible)

It uses two double H Bridges (specifically TB6612FNG). See the schematics for details.
