Motor ports problem

I may have a similar problem as Pingneer. My Touch and Ultrasonic sensor tests worked fine but can’t get the motor tests to run my motors. I’ve tested 2 motors and can’t get either to work. After enabling DEBUG mode I see the following output from the motor test.

Running Forward
Running Reverse
BrickPiRx Error : -2
BrickPiRx Error : -5
Running Forward
BrickPiRx Error : -2
BrickPiRx Error : -5
Running Reverse

Can you advise on what this could be?

So if you’re able to successfully run a sensor example or two, and not able to run a motor example, it may be a hardware problem. Just to verify one more thing: have you run the motor example? I’m assuming in Python?

Yes, I have run the motor example using Python. Other examples work fine; LED, Ultrasonic, touch - just not the motor example.

Ok, sounds like it’s the motor chip then. Can you send us a message through our contact page : dexterindustries.com/contact.html and we’ll arrange a replacement.

Thanks and sorry about the hassle!
