Software update control panel

For some reason whenever I do a software update the update log will take the place of an icon on the screen such as the gopigo control panel. is there anyway to prevent that or to get the control panel back??

I’m not entirely sure what the problem is. Yes, the log takes a spot, but you can move it out of there, or even delete it if you no longer need it. Would that fix your issue?
